Make-Up Monday - TARGET beauty bag!!!

I have quite a few swaps going on for some nail polish and have been haunting my mailbox like a mad woman, my neighbors must think I am insane for walking up there every day so excited... and then so sad when I leave with no nail mail haha. Today however, I received my Target Beauty Bag in the mail! YAY!

A few weeks ago Target Style's Facebook page had about 500,000 Spring beauty bags filled with samples to give away to their fans. I received one last year before I started blogging and got some great coupons, samples, and a full size lotion. This year I almost missed my chance at getting it since the page kept crashing and their entry form wasn't working for a few days. Finally they announced they added more bags and that they fixed the form!

I have a lot of pictures to show you of my Spring Target Style beauty bag! I snuck in a Violet picture too :)

The cute fabric bag pink and purple :)

Filled with coupons and samples!

Violet snatched up the bag... had to see how it tasted... I'm guessing like fabric haha

Nivea extended moisture body lotion.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser and Niveo Extended Moisture body lotion again

Pantene Flat to Volume hair conditioner and Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser again.

Simple (which I first heard about from my UK friend Kim) cleansing facial wipes and (bottom) sample of instant perfecting Magic Lumi light infusing primer.

I also thought I'd throw in my "eye of the day" its some of my FEVERshadow Hunger Games collection shadows I am releasing in my shop within the next 2 weeks :) More shots of these shadows to come from some great bloggers, and they will be up on Facebook.com/FEVERlacquer!!!!! My new friend Gina will also be doing some great combinations of these colors in both cream and loose which will be on the facebook and used for stock photos of these.

In the crease and lid I have the sheer luminous violet, Rue's Wildflowers, and as liner I used the hot gold with hot pink sparkles, Effie's Trinket.

Did you sign up for and receive your Target Style beauty bag!? And are you excited for FEVERshadow

China Glaze crackle glaze glitter - Luminous Lavender

Today I have the last of the 4 new China Glaze crackle glaze glitters to show you! This one... my least favorite of the set.

Luminous Lavender is a really pretty pink toned lavender with "pinkle" sparks throughout. It cracked okay but it took forever (about a minute longer than the other 3) to crackle and even though I had my white base color on for almost a full 12 hours it still pulled it apart when it started to crackle and left some nail visible. This I hated considering I had around 2, maybe 3 coats on some nails, of the white base color on. I didn't seem to have too much trouble on the nail that i did the thickest drop of polish on which is was my middle finger. If you can manage to get a nice thick even coat of the crackle glaze over your base coat and smooth that on the nail... you SHOULDNT heh, have that pulling problem and it should crack faster.

Nubar Diamont top coat. Changed it up this time so you can see the contrast in thickness, index and ring finger are light coats and middle and little finger are thicker coats.

I like this shot of the bottle because at the base and neck of the bottle you can really see the pink tones.

the crack

thin coat of this one is barely visible in the sun :(

Hope you enjoyed all 4 of the crackle glazes from China Glaze these glitter crackles are available starting MAY 2012!

China Glaze crackle glaze -- Jade-D!!!

I meant to post this yesterday but my darling daughter did NOT want to sleep and I pulled out my back putting her in the crib... what a night!!!!!! Egaaad!

I have some happy news though! Miss Alexis from my first post on Glam-More, received her polish and LOVES it!!!!!! YAY! I love spoiling my friends' little polish-aholics :)

I've got the 3rd of the 4 China Glaze crackle glaze glitter crackles to show you now :)

Jade-d, hands down my absolute FAVORITE of the 4 crackle glaze glitters, it is a STUNNING POPPING GLITTERING chartreuse with tones of gold in it.... OOOOHMYYY. I am in LOVE. These crackles are really impressing me with how well they crack even when I use an average thin coat. I find I get the real effect with these crackles by dropping a big drop of the polish on my nail and then swiping it out and getting my coverage. I still did these swatches for you to see the difference between a thin/average coat and a nice thick coat... little and ring fingers have the thin/average coat and the middle and index fingers have the thick coat.

I really really really LOVE this color. I tried it over its opposite on the color wheel, purple, and it just turned a goldenrod color which was odd.... then I tried it over brown... YEAH! I loved that and I will be posting that on the FB page this week. As usual these swatches are over white to show you the true color and the intense crackle finish!

top coat nubar diamont. I tried to catch this polish in direct and artificial light as well as in the shade...

China Glaze crackle glaze - Gleam Me Up!

I have the 2nd of the 4 new China Glaze crackle glaze glitter crackles to show you!

(CLICK HERE to jump to the previous china glaze crackle swatches and review of Glam-More)

Gleam Me Up is the bright but light blue of the crackle glaze glitter crackles, it applied just as Glam-More did and had the same awesome crackle effect! This one is A LOT more light on the nail than Glam-More, but is still very noticeable.

I actually wore this one when I walked for Autism Speaks the other day and got many compliments on it and how it was a perfect blue for the event and everyone loved that the crackle worked as a puzzle piece :)

So... since I can't help myself...

"GLEAM" ME UP SCOTTY! LETS GET TO THE PICTURES! haha

Now some of the shots look a bit blurred.. if you click them and make them larger, that blur will sharpen :) it's just Blogger being a jerk :/

except this one... its blurred on purpose LOL i wanted to show off the sparkle but it didnt go so well

All swatches are with natural light.

Make-Up Monday! Essence - Deep Rose stay with me long lasting lip gloss!

Goooood morning! (well it is here!)  I've got another MAKE-UP MONDAY product to show you from Essence Cosmetics!

I looooove tinted lip glosses! I've never used one from Essence until now and I'm pretty satisfied with it... the only thing about it I do NOT like, is it uses Carmine. If you are unaware of what carmine is... thats fine ILL TELL YA :) ... it is a red pigment made from ground up RED BEETLES! YUCK and there are a lot more than you'd think that are allergic to this stuff. Me, I dont have a problem with putting beetle guts on my lips or face... hell, I used to squish lightening glow bugs and paint my face when I was a kid (gross... yes. but did i look AWESOME?! you betcha!), if you are vegan... do bugs count as a no no?

I'd say NOT to use this on a kid (i know i'd let violet use lip gloss when she is older, especially since im not cool with kids and lipsticks... but glosses are fine) since there is a risk of carmine allergy.

Essence Stay with me long lasting lipgloss in DEEP ROSE, is a gorgeous dusty pink with loads of pink shimmer. It has the usually thick glossy texture on your lips but nothing tacky or gooey. It gives just enough color without being dramatic, but it is noticable and especially nice on a pale skinned person like myself. I wore it all day in heat and chasing the baby around and even doing household chores that usually makes gloss melt and run right off my lips... this didnt! how awesome is that!?

I used 1 dip of the applicator for each lip when i wore this.

bottle shot, most accurate of what the color is.

deep rose! w/ carmine... BEETLES! heh

applicator... very squishy and contoured for lip curves, super easy to work with.

flash to show the shimmer

flash again

and here is a swatch of it glopped on and smudged to show ya...

China Glaze crackle glaze glitter - Glam-more !

Very exciting for all of you who are still riding the crackle/shatter train!

I have the 4 new China Glaze crackle glaze glitters to show off! First one I am showing today is the deep purple/fuchsia, Glam-more!
The reason? My friend Sarah's daughter, Alexis, has set her sights on this one and is the crackle/shatter polish queen (I believe she is turning 8 next month so this reign as queen will last A LONG TIME hehe), and since she loved it so much, it is hers! So... ALEXIS (I know you will read this) you are the reason I wanted to show this one off first, I know you said you love crackles :)

The 'Crackle Glaze' glitters are releasing in May of this year and the 4 in the set are Luminous Lavender, Glam-more, Jade-ed, and Gleam Me Up (scotty! sorry had to do the star trek ref...).

I have long been "over" the crackle/shatter craze but these are so different and interesting, when I saw that it was a glitter crackle I immediately thought it would be like (for example Teal Scales) the Funky Fingers shatters. ITS NOT! This is a sparse, not over the top, but popping glitter that cracks very well... if you do it right :) I tried a few times to get it to crack and still have enough polish on the brush that it didn't take a ton of quick swipes on the nail to cover and still get a crackle... no luck. So then I just dipped the brush in the bottle (if its super logged on there then let it drip quickly then take it to the nail) and took it right to the nail and began doing my quick swipes, only needed like 2.

I decided to show it off over white so that you can see the opacity (or lack there of) and glitter coverage, as well as how awesome the crackle is with it.

Glam-more is a fuchsia/purple that has a serious sparkle to it. A few friends mentioned to me that it would look great over a lighter similar color like a hot pink! I will have to post my take on that maybe on my FB page (DID YOU "LIKE" THE PAGE?! YOU SHOULD)!

These swatches of Glam-more are all with Nubar Diamont top coat.

MAKE-UP MONDAY! Essence Stay All Day cream shadow..

HOORAY! Today is my first ever 'MAKE-UP MONDAY' post, every Monday I would like to review and show something other than nail polish (what?! other than nail polish?! GASP! hehe yes yes).

First post is thanks to Essence Cosmetics, they were kind enough to supply some of their summer line for me to review.

Essence 'Stay All Day' long wear cream shadow is a stiff cream where you really think you need to pick up more than you do on your shadow brush or sponge, I love this kind because those are the ones that last you a good while supply wise.  The shade I have for you here is The Glammy Goes To... which is a gorgeous champagne with white gold shimmer in it, very subtle but pops for sure when used with darker colors like smokey eyes to have a popping shimmer or bright spot to catch the eye sparkle.

With The Glammy Goes To... I also wore CoverGirl All-In-One Mascara in black and NYX Slim Eye pencil in black. (Reviews for those to come on future Make-Up Mondays)

How did you like my first ever Make-Up monday post? Remember this is a NEW posting topic for me so I hope to only move forward and get better with this :)

This Essence product can be found at ULTA stores for around $2.99 which is an awesome affordable price and is non toxic :)
